Sharon Adarlo is an independent conflict analyst, with a special interest in gray zone actors, and defense technology development and production.
She is currently a conflict analyst, managing editor, and operations and research director at Militant Wire, a media company focused on providing independent analysis of militant activity and armed conflict around the world.
For her expertise as a conflict analyst, she has been quoted by CBS News, LBC, The Media Line, the International Court of Justice in The Hague, and other organizations.
Previously, for more than 20 years, she worked as a journalist, communications specialist, and researcher for various media companies, public institutions, private businesses, and non-profit organizations — such as The Wall Street Journal and Princeton University, just to name a few.
Due to the breadth of her work, she has expertise in a variety of disparate domains, such as science, engineering, artificial intelligence, finance, medicine, literature, and the arts.
She began her career reporting on crime and municipal news across New Jersey and then covered crime and breaking news in Newark and the greater New York City metro area.
Apart from her work as a conflict analyst, Sharon is also a professional artist, illustrator, cartoonist, and fiction and non-fiction narrative writer. That work can be found at sharonadarlo.com.
This website serves not just as a portfolio of work content but also as an archival repository — all in an effort to keep one small part of the Internet open to everybody and to provide first hand material for fellow conflict researchers, journalists, and interested readers.
